Earth Brands actively supports local communities by volunteering with One Love Community Fridge in New York City.

Last month, the Earth Brands NYC team spent a Tuesday volunteering with One Love Community Fridge, a New York City nonprofit working to improve access to fresh, healthy food across local communities. Our team spent the day helping pack produce bags and distribute food to community fridges throughout the neighborhood.

For us, volunteering with One Love was an opportunity to step outside of our day-to-day work and get more involved in the community we call home.

Supporting Food Access in NYC

One Love Community Fridge is focused on creating greater access to fresh, nutritious food while removing the stigma that can sometimes come with traditional food assistance programs. Through a network of community fridges across New York City, neighbors can access food and essential groceries in a way that is accessible, welcoming, and community-driven.

Their model is simple but impactful: make fresh food available to people who need it and empower communities to take part in supporting one another.

During our volunteer day, the Earth Brands team helped prepare produce bags and distribute food to nearby community fridges. From packing fresh produce to helping get food where it needed to go, every part of the process contributed to making healthy food more accessible to New Yorkers.
