Last week, we brought members of the Earth team to Earth Base, our 50,000-square-foot manufacturing and operations facility in Kansas, for the first time. While we spend so much of our time talking about our products, designing custom cups, working with customers, and planning what’s next, there’s nothing quite like seeing the process firsthand.
From an idea to a finished product
Walking through Earth Base gave our team a completely different perspective on what it takes to bring an Earth product to a customer.
From production and printing to inventory, warehousing, and shipping, there are so many moving pieces behind every order. Seeing each step firsthand made it even clearer just how much coordination goes into getting products from an idea to a finished cup that ends up in the hands of a customer.
It was also a great opportunity to spend time with the team in Kansas and see how closely our production and operations teams work together every day. The people behind the scenes play such an important role in everything we do, and getting to see that work up close was one of the highlights of the trip.
Getting out of the office
There’s something especially valuable about stepping away from your usual day-to-day and seeing the bigger picture.
For our team, the trip was a reminder that there’s a whole process behind every product we work on. A custom cup might start with a conversation, a design, or an idea from a customer, but there’s a much bigger team and process that brings it to life.
Seeing that process firsthand makes us even more excited about what we’re building at Earth.
We’re looking forward to getting more of the team out to Kansas, spending more time with our Earth Base crew, and continuing to find ways to bring our teams closer together from coast to coast.
Because at the end of the day, it takes a whole team to bring Earth products to life.
