Earth Brands toured Black Earth Compost’s facility in Massachusetts (or Manchester-by-the-Sea if that sounds better) this week! The tour was led by Black Earth Compost’s Justin Sandler and it was an extremely educational and valuable experience. It was truly eye-opening to see the composting process broken down step-by-step and to witness how Justin’s team operates day-by-day to ensure that nutrients are reintroduced to the soil!

We discussed the merits and challenges of composting and how crucial it is for compostable waste to be diverted from landfills and properly disposed of. To create a product like Earth Cups from renewable resources, that is then reintegrated into the soil, is, in itself, a beautiful process. Here at Earth Brands, we’re lucky to be a part of this important journey and excited to work together with composters like Black Earth Compost to close the loop together!
